A hundred thousand welcomes is the greeting of Annie Gunn's, our award-winning restaurant. Annie Gunn was our great-grandmother and a gracious Irish lady who strongly believed in the value of family, friends and great food. In choosing Annie as our symbol, we wish to share with you her legacy of warmth, generosity and friendship. Thom Sehnert, the proprietor, has been a gourmet enthusiast for as long as anyone can remember. His commitment to quality and service is truly reflected in the fine, dedicated and talented staff he has assembled at Annie Gunn's. Chef Lou Rook, III - and our entire staff are devoted to your pleasurable dining experience. For a leisurely lunch or relaxing dinner, come and enjoy our traditional American cuisine featuring foods prepared with fresh, local products, innovative sauces and a considerable amount of passion. With this same level of passion, managers Lesley Davis, John Cain, Molly Gordon and Joshua Elston prepare daily for your visit. Thom Sehnert's philosophy that "little things make a large difference in a small restaurant" is embraced and nurtured by his personally chosen management staff. They agonize about the small details and whole-heartedly agree that the entrance is spotlessly clean, be inviting and have a warm glow to it. Equally essential is that the hostesses and bar persons are smiling and that everyone in the staff greets everyone who walks in. They agree with Thom and want Annie Gunn's to be the restaurant of choice for its' spirited ambience, its' imaginative tasty food, and its' flawlessly friendly, entirely professional service.

The restaurants that have the staffs with the greatest longevity are motivated by something other than just money. They value the quality thing, the family thing and the feeling good about their work place thing. Annie Gunn's staff is such a staff with Bruce Jordan, Julie McKenzie, and Suzie Beach with fourteen years each. Chef Lou Rook III, Karen La Roche, Lesley Davis, Judy Lawrence, Sherry Sehnert with 10 years each. Peggy Webb, Judith Heitkamp, Robert Myover, Robert Wilson, Eddie Rickert, Papa Lou Rook: all with eight years of service and twenty employees with five years of dedication. This fact brings stability and focus to Annie Gunn's, a committed family with the common goal of maintaining standards of excellence and vitality and a true regard for quality, joy for labor and a genuine respect for tradition.

Thom Sehnert's ideal Annie Gunn's is a place in which everyone coming through the doors would feel a comfortable ease and privilege of the insider, would be treated with the respect accorded the rich and famous or the fearsome food critic. Thom's hope and belief is that Annie Gunn's has grown to be a meeting place for friends and strangers, a festive place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and everyday life, a home away from home.
